Flexline TPO(Thermoplastic Polyolefin) waterproofing membranes are among the fastest growing segments of the membrane market today due to their relative ease of application (heat welding rather than hot-poured bitumen). TPO membranes are more easily welded and reprocessed like other thermoplastics and unlike vulcanized EPDM rubber, TPO retains good low-temperature flexibility by containing EP rubber.
In comparison with other thermoplastics, shrinkage and aging is less of a factor due to the fact that TPOs typically do not require plasticizers. TPO is also considerd a more environmentally friendly material due to the absence of chlorine in the polymer chain.
